Created new Avatar...can't login

Help please. I have been a Premium Member for 6 months but decided to create an alt today. I went through the entire sign up process and now can't login. It says name and/or password is invalid...so I requested password help. Now I get a message that Name does not exist. When I try to get the name again, it tells me that the name is unavailable.


The only thing I can think of is this: The last question in the sign up screen said that additional basic accounts required a 1 time fee and I declined because my 1st account has always been premium since day 1 so I thought this account would be the 1st free basic account.

Any insight would be appreciated.

If you are premium, it still counts as your first basic free account. If you indicated on teh sign up screen that the account was an alt and then declined the payment, the account was not created.

What if I have a Premium account already?
Your first account, paid or not, counts as your free Basic account. The free Basic account is meant as an incentive to new Residents to try Second Life with no associated charges. If you have an account already, additional accounts do have an associated cost for maintenance.
