Missing Group

I created a group about a month ago, and it now suddenly seems to be gone. Upon trying to recreate it, I get an "unable to create group because it already exists" message, however, it can not be found during a group search, and simply doesn't exist in my group menu.

Anyone got any tips?

Did the group have another member besides yourself? Or did all the members of the group leave? If you have no members or you have less the 2 members, the group will be discontinued and the name will be gone for ever. Once a group is created the name can never be used again.

Thank you so much for replying to my post... Ok, so I believe i understand why I lost the group. I had about 6 members but it was nothing serious and lost all members but myself...

That leads me to ask, what if i had land deeded over to this group? Would I have lost it? Would the group still have disolved with land under it?

There have been two fairly recent (in December) posts about residents who had just that happen. Land (or a positive group balance) won't keep a group from getting disbanded if it has only one member.

If the land is on a private sim the sim owner would need to reclaim the land and redeed it, if it's on the mainland LL would need to be contacted to reclaim the land (although I imagine with time the land would revert to Govenor Linden if no tier is being paid for it).
