Every crash I've seen or experienced on a computer or computer game has come without any warning at all  Just "BOOOM"................you're done LOL |

she ment that the lindens could of said that they are having difficulties at the time as was extremely laggy for 10 mins beforehand so if you got nothing better to do than take the piss i suggest you find something to amuse your small worthless brains

Yes actually my computer has never crashed unless I am playing sl. What I meant was would be nice of LL to say "if you are in the middle of a huge freaking build stop now since our system is having issues and put it away". They are obviously aware of problems since the grid status says down for maintenance. Then again, that is just me using common sense to make an intelligent guess.

Didn't anyone else notice for the last hour that SL was having problems? I was not at all surprised when the island I was on was restarted, I actually wondered why it had not happened earlier. Usually performance there is rock-solid as long as the grid is up, so when that crap started I knew something was odd. |

if its any consolation, I never logged out of SL. I'm standing there in a non-moving linkdead state staring at a script that reads "Compile successful, Saving...". About 5 minutes ago some activity did seep through. an hour old system message saying that they were going to have to bring the servers down. I found it a tad amusing.

Chewy: No way man........it's just a heavy load on the asset servers because the stupid residents are building superprims ingame again. Mike: You sure? Chewy: Yeah, besides serves them right for abusing our servers like that. Mike: Hey, Chewy...........the grid just failed. Mike: No s---!!! Sort of looks like the "crash even caught the monkey off guard But since it's an internet server in Dallas or something that went down this time why don't we flame Cisco or something LOL Happy New Year everyone |
