Parcel Not SHowing in Search Problem

Any reason why either of my parcels and objects will now not be showing in Search?

Day before yesterday I searched "Antique Bookcase" and my Larger store was about #5 on the front page, yesterday and today neither of my stores are showing up in search.

I own the land on one and do have the 30L search option checked and have done since I purchased the land, the second place I rent the land and the search is also checked and I pay the 30L a week for that too, on my larger parcel I also have a classified. I wondered why yesterday my traffic had dropped in half and sales were down dramatically. When I search for Designs by Nissa Rayna, neither of my stores show up, apart from the one in The Last Smile, the places shows and I have to click further to get to it.

If they are not in search whats the point of paying for that feature?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would drop a support ticket if it still doesn't appear after 24 hours. It could just be a glitch, but longer than 24 hours means something truly wonky might be wrong.

One thing weird I noticed for one of the spots. The shop in Hyades is among the missing in All search. So, i searched for Hyades and found a few other parcels from that region. Clicking on the region link insode one of those pages, I found that the region page for Hyades itself was missing (bogus "privacy settings" page).

Thinking that this might be an adult content experiment gone wrong, I tried it with both a payment info+ verified avatar and a no payment+unverified one, no difference. So, it looks like there is something bad happening with the periodic database dump that makes those pages.

Thank you for the replies, I intended to file a ticket but I wanted to see a few Resident answers before I did, as sometimes its something simple, but bythe replies it does sound liek something has gone wrong, by the huge drop in sales and traffic and then not finding anything on my stores. If it keeps up this way then I would more than likely have to give up the larger expansion as I will no longer be able to afford it.

I definatley appreciate the responses. Definately filing a ticket, and I have contacted the Man whom I rent from about the Hyades store as he owns that land not me.

Thanks Lord, yes it appears to be becoming a huge problem. This is Not good at all.

I went from being on the first page of search for my keywords to being removed from search altogether. Support has just told me to wait it out, but for how long? Its going on two days now and my business is suffering.

Finally today support got back to me said my prob was resolved..
it was so resolved that a parcel name search doesnt come up...
i got back to chat and eventually got a proper support person who says there is a bug, theyre trying to fix it...

but in the meantime.. region is private info .. doesnt display and all parcels are FUBAR off the search...

ugh.

maybe they will fix it eventually.. it seems random..

The html pages are updated every 12 hours (theoretically) but before they can appear in the results they need to be indexed and that can take up to 3 days - apparently. If pages went missing for some reason, they'll get created ok but then they have to wait for the next crawl and indexing.

I see your parcels Nissa, not sure why you've got mature content ticked on them though.

Edit: Yes I have no idea why either as there is nothing 'mature' in either of my shops! though I know my larger store did not have mature checked or at least I don't think it did.

I figured out why I could not see one of my stores, I had accidentally ticked mature content, and did not have that checked in search, but i still do not see Hyades store in search at all. Just like a poster above, my business is suffering from this. I have submitted a ticket but no response yet (and I have no clue yet how or if I can use live chat), I don't think concierge can help as I only own a small 512 plot.

I am hoping waitng it out for another day or 2 will help, anymore than that and I will have to think about relocating, which I really do not want to do or simply giving up that side of my business up altogether. I just the other day requested more prims as I was doing so well (small in comparison to the likes of Phil) but we all gotta start somewhere.

I don't want to say I'm glad its not just me this is happening to because its not good for anyone, but it is somewhat of a relief to know it isn't just me that is affected. Were paying (may only be 30L but it can generate a lot more than that) for a service that is faulty .. ahh but then I pay for SL too and well .. thats not what this thread is about right! I'm trying to be optimistic about all this but its hard. Walking around aimlessly hoping for the best!

Moving won't help, I've had the traffic issue intermittently at dfifferent locations, this is when your traffic gets stuck at 0 for three or four days, it's really not helpful and moving, well I just figure different day different sim on issues like this.

However if it's an LL issue they really should refund the L$30 show in search places fee for the week, if your parcel isn't showing you shouldn't be charged for it.
