We just lost our no copy kitchen, and a few other items when trying to rez them at our house. I know this problem existed recently, but i thought it had been resolved. This is a serious issue, people must be losing money everywhere... why can't you, Linden Labs, put up a warning on the blog about it?

contact the seller and ask if they can give u a new copy, think it`s safe to say alot of sellers have had that request in the past couple of days

They did... but I agree, they should update the situation more often, or even directly on the log-in screen because people dont generally check the blog regularly. Personally, I hunker down and wait for this type of thing to blow completely over. Just because everything seems to be working right after a big bork like this one, I still kinda wait a few days. I know this solution isn't gonna sit well with alot of people, but, hey, I dont loose stuff :)

*points to this post as the reason why he wont make no copy transfer items*

when they fix that issue there I will make items that way, but not until its fixed

*mummbles about bugs*

I think we deserve more than a warning. But, yes, that would be good for a start.

That doesnt really work for everyone. When I sell a clock, I sell one clock. I do sell one copy version, but it must be no xfer, or I'll be seeing resellers all over the place.

yes make it copy no transfer how can you get resellers with that permission unless they are doing something strange or did you misunderstand ?

I see a lot of people on forums asking people to sell stuff as modify no copy and transfer and I wont do it i will only sell as modfiy copy no transfer because its a lot less of a hassle especially at times like this i can pretty much log in and send everyone who bought something another copy (which i have done at other times and probably will do today) without them even asking cause chances are half the items they purchased have gone poof. Not to mention once they remove it from inventory once they already have two copies making it more likely their items wont poof 6 months from now

not sure how someone could resell your clocks if their were copy no transfer? well unless they hacked the scripts and used a bunch of exploits?

A big warning banner on the login screen would be a start, along with the Message Of The Day thing that pops up, and a new blog entry with updates on this issue on top, every time some other blog entry is posted.

I personally haven't lost much other than time to this, but the only way I knew it was still a problem was by hitting it myself when passing items between alts to test--guess what?--no-copy perms. :p
