There is a member of the SL community that has started a group which describes my stores name and in the info goes into unfounded accusations of theft asking others to join him to ' fight this evil' and as a sweetner to get ppl to join and to attract people who ue the key word 'free' who probably dont even know who TRU is offers free textures.
Of the 17 ppl in this group obvioulsy this will show in all their profiles as they go about SL
Its slander against me as the owner of the store and needless to say as me and 30 artists in the store earn either a SL or a RL living from our work its effecting our stores reputation.
I own an island have had a premium account and have been in SL for over 3 years and have never been issued a single take down order from LL at all asking me to remove 'stolen textures'
its true to say the odd set have been pointed out that I bought off players over 2 years ago ( which I still buy now from ppl who make txtrs Im just a little morw prudent and ask to see the PSDs) but if any are pointed out and proved they are copyright protected by another artists I would remove immediatly. With 30 artists Its all I can do.
My welcome card asks visitors to inform me if they believe an image is protected. None of these group members have approached me directly I suspect the group owner is a disgruntled previous texture reseller whos out to seek revenge on the store and me.
In the RL this is a classic case of slander and defemition of character but in SL I have to rely on LL to disband this group.
Do I have any chance at all to get LL support on this?
I dont bug LL much but this is upsetting and damaging to a business that has taken me 3 years to establish based on LL platform. LL 'are' the law enforces here I cant very well goto a lawer to get the group owners rl name & address to take legal action w/o a great deal of cost.
Under the TOS I believe this falls under section 4.1 Conduct
WHat can LL do for me? And how do I go about reporting this group?
He hides all the 17 members but I joined as an alt got all their names and banned them from the store as Im guessing at least some of those same ppl are shopping at TRU but joined him to get freebies ( mayb even TRUs textures ? who knows )
Thank you in advance

From: Livinda Goodliffe File an Abuse Report. Agreed, and not just one. Have the artists who sell through TRU also submit reports, and continue to do so (maybe one a week each?) as long as it exists. Another suggestion regarding abuse reports: Keep the report emotion-free. Just report the facts, and make it as complete as possible. Refer to the specific portion of both the TOS and CS that are being violated. Basically hand all the necessary info to LL on a silver platter. I know a lot of people feel ARs are useless, but I have actually had success within a week of submitting a single report. I wish they would be more forthcoming in the response as to what the resolution was (either "you're right, we've acted on it" or "you're wrong, stop reporting this" , but it's LL and I don't see the mystery clearing up anytime soon. I can tell you that the first action is usually just a warning, leaving compliance voluntary, which is why it's necessary to resubmit the report if the problem isn't resolved.

Since you own an island and are a highly respected texture seller
Banlink them
Also as others have stated, having your employees and artists also abuse report them may help.

You know, this would be great. They don't have to give any more info than, "Thank you for submitting this. After investigating, we found your allegations to be true and have acted upon them," or "Thank you for submitting this. After investigating, we find that this did not break the rules." Doesn't describe anything beyond whether you were right or wrong and would prevent a lot of re-reporting if one was wrong. And, yes, abuse report them! The group was founded entirely to harass and possibly to grief you!

You could also file a Support Ticket and perhaps have a lvie chat with a Linden to find out the best way to handle this through LL's channels.
ARing is a start, but you can detail so much more in the Tickets. They sort of work like a one-on-one forum with a Linden.
To date, with the several Tickets I've filed, I have found LL action to be acted upon quicker than an AR and much more detailed. Though I suspect LL will hold to their policy of not giving you any information on any other Resident, nor about any action taken agasint said Resident.

From: Raudf Fox You know, this would be great. They don't have to give any more info than, "Thank you for submitting this. Doesn't describe anything beyond whether you were right or wrong and would prevent a lot of re-reporting if one was wrong. You know, I was going to reply on the lines of Ava and Raudf's posts in the 'Support Portal feedback' thread. I haven't had cause to use the Support Portal itself yet, but the lack of useful feedback on ARs really frustrates me, and I regard this as an aspect of LL's support. I too would be happy with a 'don't bother reporting this again' or a 'thanks for reporting this' type of answer. And to Lillybeth, I missed all the shenanigans yesterday, but am in support of you and the service you and your artists provide to the building community. I hope you get this resolved.
