Ok, I searched for a couple of hours to buy 1 way glass or a script to make it and can't find it, apparently it's easy to make if you can put a clear texture on one side of a prim sheet and tinting/silver/black/whatever else on the other.
Hmm can't work out how to do it though?
Thanks in Advance,

Easy, in 'edit mode' just check the little circle on the upper left that says "select texture" Then click on something else to clear your object, then click on the face you want to be clear and adjust the transparency level on the texture tab, done deal.

The method described above won't let you make things 100 percent clear.
So...
I gave you a copy of a clear texture I called AlphaTexture. You can select a face like Infiniview said, then use the texture selector to select AlphaTexture, or... just drag AlphaTexture from your inventory to the face you want to be clear.

Wow excellent thanks both of you for the help will try it out, completely clear would be fabulous. Will do me great for now, to be really tricky later I would like my glass walled appartment to also be able to change interior textures from glass to wallpaper or posters, and tint the windows and....... With this new info I'm going to tear it apart and push it till I find out what it can't do But slightly before that, I suspect I need to get further in scripts than the touched box changing color excercise I suspect

1. Building questions should go in the building forums....fyi.
2. There are plenty of free textures out there, and one of them is called Transparent - wish I could tell you exactly where to get it, but I can't - all I know is it's in a box of 72 textures. It is completely clear.
3. All you need to do in the future is learn how to modify a basic show/hide script, so that on command you can set texture, color, phantom status, etc. to whatever you want on any given side. I refer you to the LSL wiki at wiki.secondlife.com.
