For the past two weeks or so, I have been having very severe time dilation spikes on my private island Oz. The island was ultra low lag for a year or so without many problems. I keep it over half empty so it stays that way. I need very low lag conditions to test the racing games etc that I make. However, for two weeks or so the normal dilation of 1.00 to 0.99 has been spiking as low as 0.06. The spikes are fairly frequent... usually several times per minute thus making doing almost anything much less enjoyable and tweaking script code for performance next to impossible.

I know SL has been having some grid wide issues. I was wondering if other island owners were having similar issues or if I have to contact SL customer support to look into the matter for me. My last experience with them over a year ago related to lag issues I had on the mainland almost drove me to leave the game. I'm glad I didn't though. I enjoyed making my store and all sorts of fun stuff.

Look at time (ms) and expand that in your Statistics Bar (View, Statistics Bar).

If Images time is over 1.0, say, spiking to 10 or 100, then restart the sim.

Everything will be all better when it comes back.

Can't prove it's this, but it frequently is. Have a look.

There's another thread running on this same issue:

The image time varied from 0.0 to 0.1 ms so I don't think that is the problem.
