- Hello, I notice that the website is not only saying my card details are out of date, but declaring my card to be invalid when I try to update those details, even though I did my grocery shopping with it just this morning. My card company has confirmed that they are not blocking LL, and they also confirmed they have not received any requests for payment from LL in many weeks.
- Sorry, you need to speak to billing about this.
- How do I contact billing?
- Through this chat window.
-

Obviously, this is not a word for word transcript, it merely covers the essential meaning. As such, it doesn't break the forum rules on posting chatlogs.

Look, LL. Here's my money! Take it! Please!

Unfortunately, the only thing we Residents can offer you is to point to the Support Portal.

The wording there indicates you will be shown how to contact Billing after going through the search there. To me contact would include, but not limited too, email, Ticket submission, phone numbers, and live Support chat.

From your post I am assuming you already had teh chat with Support and it was less than informative. I would suggest asking for a direct phone number to Billing if you head through that course again. Or a direct email.

And a note for any Linden who reads this; you may wish to nudge Billing a bit to fix all the CC and PayPal problems before someone files a lawsuit for denial of services agsint LL. That's not a threat as my CC is working, but eventually, with the millions of Residents out there, someone is going to get miffed enough.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

When all else fails while trying to get a Billing issue resolved go in-world and drop an Instant Message on Zee Linden.

The larger issue is that ever since they switched to this new billing company there have been NUMEROUS complaints about how hard it is to deal with.

This should be remedied.

Makes me wonder if SL is waiting out a contract with this new company. It could be more costly to them to break the contract than to remedy the situation. After that security breach flap last year, they have taken the billing bus to the other side of the road.

If that's the case that doesn't sit well with me. Their first priority should be making it so customers can pay for the survice, that's business 101. Anything else just shows the blatant disregard for the paying customer that they have shown inceasingly in recent months.

The UK company must have been decidely cheaper than a US variant -

Otherwise I can see no reason to invite the sorts of issues involved with having the billing company be in the UK while LL is based in the US.

Not to mention the fact that US residents are still the largest single group in SL.

Im all for globalization. Id be supportive of a LL branch in the UK where you incur SL expenses with and pay a billing company in the UK ADDED to the choices.

I just dont see the reason to impliment it the way they did , unless they either got better service (LOL right) or got it for less (hopefully at least).
