1st monthly fee to send to LL - how to ?

I need to pay 295 US$ to LL about my Private SIM.

So, how to do it ?

It will be charges automactlly using my billing information ?

Yep, it charges automatically. The one thing SL is always right on schedule for from me is them takin my money

Strange that , that part never lag's does it ?.

Does involve " Packet loss " though , Our packet being lost to LL's uber wallet

Imagine the scenario:

Current Balance: 300.000 L$

USD Balance: 400 US$

Billing Information is ok

And...

Today is the pay day...

So..

With source will be charged ?

Other situation:

Current Balance: 300.000 L$
USD Balance: 400 US$
Billing Information not good - CC deny the payment

Is there alternative sources if my CC deny the payment ?

Last situation:

Current Balance: 800.000 L$
USD Balance: 0 US$
Billing Information not good - CC deny the payment

Can LL accept my L$ ????

If i understand your question , I think they opt to take from you USD Balance first rather t than from your credit card account .

Im pretty sure LL Don't take L$ as payment for land fee's

Hum...so, the primary source is the USD Balance...

yes, it will always come off your USD balance first if the money is there. If not, it will come off you credit card. It will NEVER come off your $L balance.

From what i gather , Yes , The reason being that you USD is allready in LL's system , They allready hold your USD so no need to transfer from the bank .

Yep, always from USD first...which is a good thing, I get to turn rent lindens into the USD and my husband never has to have a heart attack or even see the cost lol

I am fairly certain the other (business) reason why they would take from the US$ balance before charging the credit card is to decrease the risk of credit card chargebacks, reversals and disputed transactions.

In other words, to cover themselves legally as much as possible under the US credit laws.

If someone is charged incorrectly and the money comes out of the Second Life account $US balance, the person must contact LL to straighten that out. Then LL can adjust the balance according to whether or not they see fit.

If an incorrect charge is made to a credit card, then the person has only to contact their credit card company to have it taken care of, under US laws.

Not to mention the merchant (in this case Linden Lab) also usually has to pay a fee for each credit card transaction.

from a business standpoint, credit card transactions are much riskier for the merchant than for the consumer.

Yup, comes from your US$ forst them your payment info. If both fail you will lose access to your account and land and eventually (about a week?) LL will take your land and your account away for failure to pay.

To pay with L$, just make sure you sell them on LindeX before your tier due date.

In my opinion it is not a good idea to keep a large balance of $ in Lindens. I sell most of them every day, keep only enough Lindens in SL to cover what you expect to need. Keep the balance in US$ and it is available to use to pay tier and any other LL costs. Also US$ are more readily available to send to paypal or cash out, rather then waiting for your lindens to sell.

If you were to become crossways with LL they could close your account and keep your money, so I regularly transfer most of the US$ balance to paypal so it is under my control.
