Can someone tell me how to undo the latest update? I installed 1.14.0 but now every time I go on SL my whole computer freezes up and crashes within a few minutes. I found on the blog that there are a lot of people having this problem, but I couldnt find how I could go back to 1.13.2. Is there a link to go to for it?

UPDATE: Residents who are experiencing viewer crashes or other blocking issues should report them, but can also download the 1.13.3.2 viewers which will be supported during this transition period. The links are:

The blog entry that has the link to 1.13.3.2 is at http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/03/27/second-life-1140-viewer-released a .
Uninstall the version that doesn't suit you, if required and desired, before installing the 1.13.3.2 version. _____________________

I was having the same problem, and it went away after I updated my video drivers. Assuming you know how to do that, you may want to try that.

Downgrading to 1.13.2 solved my problems, but now I know I'm playing on borrowed time. Sigh. I do hope there are plans to eventually support my video card.

I'm staying on 1.13 for as long as I can. Maybe there will be one or more further 1.14.x interim updates of the client before they make 1.14 mandatory.

Viewers from other locations could have some nasty suprises (and no, I am not saying the poster has bad meanings). The older viewer is also available from the Second Life-site, as already pointed out. Morwen |
