Dumb question....what is...

BB Code? Is that the same thing as the html formatting not showing up on my end in these forums? Like where there should be a clickable link in some of the posts here..I'm seeing the url written out instead. I tried turning html "on" but it seems disabled. Sorry if this question is lame...

Letting people add their own HTML to posts tends to get very messy (people forget, or deliberately don't close tags; some people grief with them; and it could potentially be used to use exploits in browsers).

Most forums have their own little tags to emulate the most frequent uses, so you get bold or make things easier with http://secondlife.com.

Right now the only thing that works is [ quote ] and [/ quote ] and I think SuzanneC figured out that [ img ] [/ img ] still produces a clickable link as well.

Lyric I'm guessing that it stands for Bulletin Board. That "guessing" would be italicized if code wasn't off, LOL
