I would assume its possible, though have never tried it.
Theoretically all you should need to do is stream the music over your network to a fixed ip that is accesible to the outside world, then link the audio stream to that ip in SL. Zog |

From what I've read, you need to use one of the online services such as a Shoutcast server - since each listener connects individually, your home connection doesn't really have enough bandwidth to accomodate a large number of listeners at once. Many of the DJ's in SL stream from home, but use an intermediary system that gives them more bandwidth.

There's a Linden article on this in Help.
And you can Search the forums... try "DJ" as the search term. And in-world, try a search on 'Shoutcast'... In-world stores sell the shoutcast service as well. and they have SL-specific notecards to help you get started. |

Here is one of the articles from help...
http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=083 If you are on a pc, then probably winamp + shoutcast plugin and an rented external shoutcast server is the way to go... Or on a mac nicecast (http://www.rogueamoeba.com/nicecast/) instead of winamp and it would link into your itunes music and then just stream to an external shoutcast server via nicecast.
