My sister & I have started playing SL in the last few weeks, we had the idea that I would take a subscription 'cos I have a faster PC and will be online more. She hasn't tried downloading it to her PC yet but has used mine a bit, so as yet we're not on at the same time. Several people can visit my land, but I want Judi to be able to build there and buy things for the house as in reality. Is that possible? So far she can't even set a home landmark there! I wondered about the two of us being a 'group' but would then preclude her owning first land if she gets hooked? BTW I've learned a great deal from this site, especially the FAQs. Now I need to explore more, buy party clothes & look around some nightspots, furnish the house, learn how to build .... I really don't think I have time for RL any more Pam

Form a group, but yourselves in it, and deed the land you bought...to your group. Will that stop her from owning first land? Nope. Simple answers I know...but I figured that's what you were looking for.

Your sister's membership in a group that owns land won't keep her from buying First Land in the future. Otherwise, just about any new resident who went to almost any club in-world and joined their VIP group would find themselves unable to do so, and we would have heard from the torch-and-pitchfork-bearing angry masses long before now on that topic.

As I understand it, it is only when a person who is a premium account holder donates some, or all of their land allocation to a group that stops them from buying First Land if they later reclaim their donation in order to buy their own property. (Breathes in again) First Land is only available to Premium Account holders that have neither owned land,or donated land to a group. I hope this helps. Good luck with the homemaking, and I hope that you and your sister have a great time here

Thanx folks. Simple works for me We were 'hot seating' at the PC earlier trying to do things . I didn't know about VIP clubs, I think I'm overage for those It's seems incredible that we played with Lego as kids building imaginary worlds and now we have them appearing before us. I've explored some areas and just gaped at the graphics, it must be incredible on a fast machine, mine is a hand-me-down from a friends daughter! Oh horror - it was 3 years old. Off to reread the Groups FAQ, thanx again. Pam
