Depends on the nature of the replication.

If you slap a bunch of non-descript prims together, toss on some freebie textures, and call it "yours", probably not much you can do to protect it if someone else sits down and does exactly the same. What makes it more able to be protected is if it is sufficiently complex enough, or uses textures that you own the exclusive rights to.

I point out this little discrepancy because you wouldn't be granted copyright status for a cube prim with the Blank texture on it, colored white. It needs to be complex and "personalized" enough to be considered a "work".

Are they selling it or did they just copy it for their own use? If the latter then immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

to mix some metaphors here...

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery

...and though there may be more than one way to skin a cat, there are not infinite ways to skin said cat. Some duplication of structure is guaranteed with any build of a certain type.

apologies to all the neko and feline furries.

No, sorry. There is nothing you can do about someone copying your design, in SL or RL, that is completely legal. If they have not actually violated your copyright or trademark, it is not illegal.

Question 1: Can you convince a court that they "derived" their work from yours?
Question 3: Can you convince a court that they cause you "losses"?
Question B: Is the amount of "loss" enough to make it worth all the trouble?

If all three answers are YES, then you hire a IP rights lawyer, and follow his or her advice.
