Not sure how it happened, but I just noticed my avatar has a gash in her leg.
Anyway to get rid of it?

As was said...textures on skins sometime go wonky when logging in and such. Worse yet, sometimes...for whatever reason...the textures take it upon themselves to stay that way. That's why I personally always have at least two copies of any copiable skin I own. So if one gets fubar'd I can delete it, make a new copy of the original non fubar'd one....and get back to looking all handsome and such. ^_^

I've tried to change skins and that mark is still there. Even changed to a vampyr skin and that didn't work.
I think it needs more than a band aid. Does SL have a hospital for stitches??!! lol |

It sounds as though it could be a gash on a layer above the skin - what layers are you using? Try removing, say, undershirt, or what-have-you.

The gash could be from an underpants or pants or skirt you are wearing, change those out and see if it disappears.
Even if there is no obvious garment, it could be alpha'd (invisible) on all surfaces except the gash - much like how a tatoo is constructed, where everything is invisible except the actual tattoo. |

it could also be an attachment.
Many of the "multi gaget" or "carbon rod" type attachments try to hide themselves inside a part of the avatar. This usually works, but on rare occassions, a custom avatar can be shaped just so.. so that a little piece of teh attachment might be showing through. It would really help us a lot if you could post a screenshot! _____________________

I have been experiment with different type of transparency and I noticed my skin has this odd discoloring and the bones his wrist look like he is disfigured in same way.
It happen when I used a 80 percent transparent skin color. There was this thread earlier about this person who was losing her clothing and her scalp was showing through her hair. They were say it could be becaus eof transparent skin color. |
