Group Land not very homely

A while back Something changed in SL. After some update or the like, I noticed that I could no longer set group land as home. Yes, the land has been set for group.. and yes, i was a member of said group. Now at the time, it seemed like many people were having the same issue. At some point, they even changed the "you can only set home to land you own or mainland info hub" message. At one point, i could have sworn it said groups at one point.

So i have to ask. Is there something glitchy for me, specifically, or is this a more global SL phenomenon? and if it is a global thing..how do people who rent out apartments deal with it? do they just have everyone landmark their lots and hoof it back themselves?

Also, could anyone shed light on why the "group home" feature was altered? any comments would be helpful..as im confused. Im curious, because my mate bougth a lot and i cant set it for home. Heh.

Also, for what it's worth note that my home is set on group land and I teleport home frequently. It was set a while ago though, I don't know what would happen if I tried to set it now.

Maybe this is an obvious thing to check, but are you sure the "Set Home" power is assigned to your role in the group? There is a specific checkbox for the owner of the group to set.

File a bug report. after checking the group powers as Johan^ stated

I have a 3 person group that, only 1 can set as home..
it seems its random as well I have allowed others to join to test it. some will be allowed some not.

By Default group members can NOT set as home group owned land.
THe owner of the group or someone with enuff rights has to go into the abilities dialog for the group and allow people the right to "Set as Home"

Yes, but it only works on land that is deeded to the group - group owned. If land is merely set to group, it's not working.
