yes, please 'mute' any objects like this you may get - will slow the attack. the lindens are already deleting them (fortuatnely it seems to be a slow-moving attack).

It's a grey goo. It was on my land in Bruin too. I just shut down build and scripts, and left it at that. That's about all you can do.

VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO ACCEPT THE OBJECT AT ALL; just perpetuates the attack - it will appear to come from a lot of random people. (those people accepted the object without knowing or thinking about it, so don't blame them - just mute them for the while).

it is called 'GRIEFORNAMENT'. it seems rather slow-moving, and the lindens are already deleting it (they cleaned up my sim already).

These objects are driving me nuts. I was just building something in my main land SIM and these things are flying all around. SL seems to be very slow too.

I had to ban all users and objects from my parcel so I can continue to work on my building. I can't do this always.

LL, what is going on?

Well, some of the names that were associates with it seemed like classic griefer names to me... *sigh* Baka!

I got it from over 6 people friend I talked said it was same people . I automatically muted and discarded just on instinct. How can they do that to all those people without being SL staff or hacking the system?
Heck most of us can't even get people search to work right now

Pretty easily, really. Just a basic sensor can power it, and there are some sensor bugs that allow detection distances of over 300m.
Yep - someone who managed to get one into no-script area opened it up, and it's using a sensorrepeat.

Would it be Inadvisable for me to ask what a "sensorrepeat" is? Not all of us (Even after two years) understand scripting.

it just means the object is regularly taking a look around itself for (in this case) avatars to hand itself to. llSensorRepeat().
