Can't change appearance

Something odd is happening! For some reason SL seems to have imposed some kind of weird sexchange on me - so not only do I seem to be a female (a change from the norm) but clicking on 'appearance' on the pie menu actually does nothing, so I can't change it!

I'm kinda stuck. Assumed it was some inventory thing but cleared my cache and everything and it still seems to persist. I am stuck in a woman's body! (An extremely tall one. Almost Amazonian, in fact.) Which admittedly is entertaining, but I'd kind of like to go back at some point..

It's not just me, is it? Can anyone help?

This was happening to me the other day and it turned out that the sim I was booting into was the culprit. I would try changing your home location to a different sim and then log back in, if that fixes the problem then you will need to request a sim reset from Linden Labs, at least that fixed it for me. It was a little weird having a woman's body but a male skin!

Okay, firstly.. Can you access your inventory or is it empty folders? Have you tried logging into another sim? Say, try Pooley or even Oak Grove.

I tried teleporting to another sim but that didn't seem to do it - but, that said, about 10 minutes ago I crashed out of there, and when I logged back in shortly afterwards, that seemed to correct everything. (That would have been the first "login" to a different sim.) Suddenly at that point I was back to 'normal', and a few stored IMs and "Someone has given you a ... " inventory items all came through at the same time.

Must have been an oddity with the LA (home) sim, perhaps. I see now.

*grins* Well, next time, try just going from the login screen to Preferences/General "Show Start Location on Login Screen." I usually use Pooley or Oak Grove when it happens. Next step, is getting on Help Request and asking a Linden for a restart of the other sim Good luck on that!
