Is there any way to convert lindens to USD other than the LL way? I was prepared to begin a business venture until I ran the conversion through a test drive. Still waiting for the funds to show in my paypal account, no response from LL on multiple posts in the answers forums, no live bodies answering their phones, and no callback from the voicemails.

I'm more than a bit leary of investing any real money if it's this problematic getting it back out.

You can try selling them on e-bay. I've never done that, but the exchange is much more favorable to you there. (2500L/19US roughly) but you'd be at the whim of the buyer if they get the L and then cancel the transaction in paypal, you really have no way to get your L back.

How long have you waited? I've never had any problems, but the turnaround time is normally close to a week.

It's been 6 business days. It isn't the waiting and guesswork as much as the complete lack of response or recourse thats got me bothered the most. This was only $50.00. What if it had been $5000.00?

The new year's holiday probally affected the processing time, you will probally get it tomorrow. You can also sell on SLExchange I believe although the rate may not be as good. You'll get your $ though, it usually doesn't take more than 7 days at most but this is the "Holiday Season" which will slow it down a bit.. Usually 3-7 days is the standard..

You sure you're counting your days correctly? Yesterday (3rd Jan) I had a payment that I requested way back on the 22nd December arrive in my paypal account. While that *seems* like a long time, it was - thanks to the holidays - within the mandatory 5 business days.

Don't forget, most banks in the US weren't open on the 2nd either in honor of Ford's passing.

If you processed on the 23rd of December before 10:30am SL time, January 3 is the 5th business day, technically, even though it's almost 2 weeks later, especially given that traditional holidays were on a Monday this year.

If you processed after, January 4th is the 5th business day, so give it another day or two and see what happens.
