Banning Mystery

This evening I had someone walk right into my brand new home, on a private island... and start trying out poseballs. I thought about simply asking them to leave but I chose to eject & ban because I thought they had a lot of nerve to walk right in where my boyfriend and I... OBVIOUSLY were. So I went straight to the eject/ban.

His name appears in the ban list but here is the mystery... If I do a search for him under people, "none" shows up. My boyfriend also looked and received the same results.

Is this typical? Could this be someone who was a newbie and immediately deleted their account? Did I eject them so far into outer space that SL forgot their existance?

This one really has me puzzled.

i've seen that before i believe its some kind of bot or something. I tried to manually ban someone the other day by typing in their name (they had stuffed prims onto my golf course holes lol) and they didn't come up although there is an autoreturn after 20 minutes i just tried to find the person. They had no profile nothing even when i clicked on the prim information and went from there. I was told that is some kind of "bot" I have no idea if this is true though as this would mean anyone can get into SL and not really exist and do whatever they want

Are you sure you searched on the exact case? I wonder if there's any trick like creating a name using non-ASCII characters that can't be typed without a non-US keyboard?

All of the search functions have been running hours and hours behind. I've put in events, land sales, classifieds, even created an alt this past week (I've been busy). None of these have shown up in search right away. I bought a small piece of property yesterday afternoon and this morning it still shows up in search as for sale. This person could be a brand new account that simply hasn't been around long enough to show up in searches.
