Dont know why this amused me but it did!
Was helping a relative newbie out at NCI at the weekend and as we parted he said "You're not beautiful". No idea why he said it but it made me grin rather than fume - in SL's world of slim, toned etc AV's is it actually better to be different?
Anyway - Im off to upload some warts for my AV

My AV looks like a cross between Golum and Yoda and I stick out a mile when surrounded by all the shiny glamorous AV's in SL. I like it  |

I didnt feel the need for a retort as I didnt feel hurt. My musing was more along a line of a flip of the old "in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king".
In the SL land of the insanely beautiful the "girl next door" is ugly perhaps?
There's a great recent thread here that has evolved into a discussion of how SL warps your view of RL (you estimate prim counts wherever you see em). Maybe all those good looking AVs in SL make people in RL look uglier?!
NB All this is typed with tongue firmly in cheek!
