What can I do?
I lost all the uploads and certain content I had made in last month.
I spent the last amount of money I had on over 80 uploads yesterday and last three months.
I lost the items I had made in last week, the most used items that I had created.
I can always redo them but the thing is if this regular thing not sure if its going to be worth it at this point.
I am not sure what to do at this point or even if Second Life worth it because I am upset.
Should I just sell all my 5600 m land and try to get usd back and cancel my account?
Why should I continue trying to create content or playing Second Life?

Agh, I know it's frustrating, but even Linden hasn't said anything about adverse effects like people's uploaded stuff being deleted, or like in my case, perms being changed and body shapes being distorted.

Speaking of upsetting shite that's happened tonight, all store owners with display models, check your display permissions! Mine and several other store owners' perms were changed somehow today to allow each display model to be sold for L$0 with mod/copy/trans. I had a panic attack when someone came into my store and told me they could buy everything for free. Make sure yours perms haven't changed!

yeah last week the shop I rented the owners of sim had major land issues and they had to return all the items.
those items even disappeared my lost and found.
I haven't even went back to re set up shop because just been feeling bit overwhelmed and frusterated.
I don't blame the place I rent from for my business because its not there fault.
I didn't expect to get much from this game, I just want to create with less to few hassles and I am finding that even limited.
I am just starting to feel really frusterated and that perhaps I am big sucker to have invested any money in the world right now:(
I wonder if those spending thousands are being effected and just as frusterated too right now.
Probably not.

Sometimes when things are returned to lost and found, they are returned as a single object that when pulled out, you have all your objects
Try searching for that in date order.

Also try looking through your objects folder in date order in case you have copies.
If you build something, take it into your inventory, then rez the item, that still leaves a copy in your inventory.

If none of that works, look through your trash folder. Things often end up there even during building.

You mentioned losing uploads? Does that mean your inventory lost items at the same time as the land lost items?
Doing a clear cache, logging out then coming back in again can sometimes recover missing inventory items.

I strongly advise keeping backup copies of all your products in a folder in your inventory, and also in a box on your land in case your inventory gets nuked.
I also advise saving all important scripts you write as text documents on your computer.

date order

I must be missing something because I can't seem to comprehend how to use "date order"
Is there something special I am missing here?
I tried typing in date of items created after selecting date but this didn't quite work:(
I am sorry I just didn't get how to do this nor have I been able to find anything about this because there so much to know, so much to learn, etc that it is enough to become overwhelming.
Thanks for the tips and advice.

By date order I mean at the top of the inventory select sort by date, which puts most recent items on top so you can scroll down through them.

Remember to check the "objects" folder, the "lost and found" folder and the "trash" folder

Any missing textures should of course be in either the textures folder or the trash folder.

After doing that, try a "clear casche" then log out then in again to see if that helps, as clearing the casche can fix inventories that have lost items.

WARNING - yesterday when I logged in there was a linden message telling us not to use our inventories. Maybe wait until that is fully resolved.

Your inventory might yet show up. Please update if you find this was a temporary problem. I suspect a lot of lost inventory reports turn out to be temporary inaccessibility and not actual loss. I know mine did.

Stuff showed up or most of it after twenty-four hours.
I really decided I need to create like better way to manage the things that are the most important to me since I have at this point 9700 items.
Most of items are work in progress, items and textures I have made or tested.
Another ideal a friend gave me was when I am creating and testing new textures or content is to go to test grid that way I don't lose real money before I upload here at this server.
I am going to try to create my own land based prim vault with labels or reminders of what the content is and store them in several places, mix few prim clothing and work in process closets as object management.
Inventory of mine tends to eat things or just can't find half of stuff even on good SL day but reccently its been even worse then usual.
I found the rotating gold wings I made only to lose them 20 minutes later, on top of it all once I got my items back I started having strange error messages when I was making vender prims saying it couldn't do something I don't remember the words exactly.
Maybe its just because I am new and still clueless.
Any way I am I started this post off as rant, later I got reminded why I want to stay in Second Life.
It just not always about being inspired and creating new thing or new cleaver design, it sometimes about my friends and the kindness of others that I have encountered that also give Second Life a special meaning regardless of the bugs, the hassles that go with living life here even if its virtual.
Thanks again, FD
P.S.
I must confess I am still clueless about the date search thing in inventory I must re-read and hope to comprehend this.
