I have posted in several different places here that I didn't think it was possible for a real newb to find First Land.
I was wrong. I've been playing for only about 2 weeks and I was able to buy First Land tonight.
I located it via the "Search" button, and selecting the tab "Land Sales", and then filtering for "First Land" (I mention that, because I was questioned by another newb about how I found it, who had been searching for months. Like "Did it require other players informing me? The answer is No, but I did try to inform friends, who arrived too late.)
It didn't require me standing around and doing nothing but searching, either. I was not willing to do that, which was why I was convinced I would never find it. I probably averaged about 3 searches a night - once when I logged on, once when I was ready to log off, and perhaps once in between. I decided to check into what was going in EQ2, then came back to SL, and upon my routine log in search, there it was - 10 lots of First Land!
So I was wrong. It is possible for a newb to buy First Land, and it didn't require an extreme amount of effort for me to do so. Yeah, maybe I was lucky. But just wanted to let you know that it does happen, so don't give up looking.

Congratulations  LL has been making First land more available in the last week than has been available less recently, however it's still quite hard to get and really does take determination like you showed doing those searches each day. Wishing you all the best
