Setting Home Location

I have a plot of land and I have deeded it to a group to enable all the members of that group to be able to set it as their home location but everyone else apart from me is getting the "You can only set home to land you own or a mainland info hub" message. I have owned land before and deeded it to a group and had no issues with any members setting it to home so has something changed or am I doing something wrong?

Well, there is a specific Abililty, under Parcel Powers, called "Allow 'Set Home to Here' on group land" that has to be enabled for a group member's Role. I think by default, the Everyone role has that ability, but it would be something to check for the affected group.

Also, operations on groups seem to be delayed worse than every other operation, so maybe the problem has already cleared.

Oh, maybe I should have stated it differently. The "Parcel Powers" refers to a category of the *Group* Abilities tab, not the parcel itself.

ah ok....found that but still not working...for some reason i cant deed the land to the group...must be an SL issue.

It will only work if the land is actually deeded to the group. Check your own role in the group, and make sure you gave the permission to deed items/land to the group. If it isn't a group you created, that may be the problem.

If you're going to donate land to the group, you have to make sure you click the check mark on "Make contribution to group" when deeding, this way the group will have enough tier credits to receive the land.

If it's private estate, make a new group. You don't want to confuse your private groups with your mainland group. You also don't need to donate any land to private estate deeding.
