Uncontrollable Cursor !!!

I’m at my wits end... Since the last viewer (1.17.0.12) SL has become virtually un-liveable for me.

My cursor is dragging and lagging, scrollbars are sticky, menus won’t open and sometimes both open and close again on the same click.

It’s very, very difficult to move items in inventory. If you manage to grab an item and try to move it to another folder, you either can’t move it or the cursor jitters and ‘clicks’ and drops and select random items on the way and drop them in random folders, which makes it very difficult to find them again and to sort anything in inventory at all.

Sometimes the cursor flies around the screen, opening and closing menus - in one case even changing a texture on a surface, seemingly all by itself…

It has also become very difficult to control my camera - it lags, jumps, jitters and drops the view when using the alt and ctl+alt keys.

Outside SL my cursor behaves normally and as it has always done.

I have had the problem that if i click something ...it will open and close stuff inthe same click ... if you try and drag something from you inventory it opens the propeties box instead ... its very annoying as you say , Makes like very difficult indeed .

But the rest of your problems soud as if thay are mouse related , Do you have a cordless mouse ? .

I managed a fix for the clicking thing but im not inworld right now to be able to tell you :(

Off the top of my head , Its debug > client > UI >;( asyx somthing )

The last bit im abit fuzzy on ... but if you look in UI it is about the third from the top .. just put an X next to it ..and that will help with the clicks .

As for the rest ... i realy think that may be down to your mouse .

If anyone else has any fixe's for this i would be intrested to hear too

What works for me sometimes is to reset my cable modem
Just unplug it for about 30 seconds then plug it back in

Sounded like a latency issue between the mouse driver and the Client.
