Today is my birthday, I am two so yea for me and all that.
I wanted to write down a brief list of who has meant a lot to me in the past 2 years (actually add 4 months to that as this avi was not the first) anyway, in order of when I met them...
Wynx Whiplash, my real life friend for 20 years now, got me to join SL and has constantly amazed me with the unending supply of things that make people happy, I am so proud of her!
Forseti Svarog, for sheer quality of everything he has done since my day one I am truely grateful, SL is so much richer with him here.
Noramyr Gullwing, for showing me that persistance pays off when it comes to building and for always taking time for me, you rule Nora!
Jadelynn Koala, for always giving me a hug and conversation, sometimes that is just what I need to feel happy when I log on.
Shellyd Fox (now rose Cookie), for having the biggest heart in SL, so generous with her time and resources, so kind and humble, she brings her warm and happy personality into SL and makes things fun.
Rhiannon Chatnoir, my favorite elf! always making quality things in a professional way but remaining true to herself, a sweet creative girl with colorful daydreams.
Sukkubus Phaeton, creative and fun to be around, the best host in SL and a kick ass DJ, if we were forever 12 years old, I'd still be your best friend.
Ceria Semple, for reminding me of what is important in fine art and why I decided to become an artist in the first place...
Kim Anubis, for making faerie tales come to life in subtle ways, I am constantly inspired and often awed, it really is magic to have you in Sl.
of course there are so many more, but these are among the people who have influenced me the most.

To many to name, but they will know who they are.
To all the girls I've loved before Who travelled in and out my door I'm glad they came along I dedicate this song To all the girls I've loved before To all the girls I once caressed And may I say I've held the best For helping me to grow I owe a lot I know To all the girls I've loved before The winds of change are always blowing And every time I try to stay The winds of change continue blowing And they just carry me away To all the girls who shared my life Who now are someone else's wives I'm glad they came along I dedicate this song To all the girls I've loved before To all the girls who cared for me Who filled my nights with ecstasy They live within my heart I'll always be a part Of all the girls I've loved before The winds of change are always blowing And every time I try to stay The winds of change continue blowing And they just carry me away To all the girls we've loved before Who travelled in and out our doors We're glad they came along We dedicate this song To all the girls we've loved before To all the girls we've loved before Who travelled in and out our doors We're glad they came along We dedicate this song To all the girls we've loved before

Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuuu I don't know what the text character limit is on the forum posts, but I guess I would barely list even half of the great people that I have met and befriended in SL over the years. They know who they are, so I will just say a BIG thank you to each and everyone of you.

I can't say I've been infuenced by anyone in the short time I've been here, but I admire everyone who has made Sl what it is, and who come here everyday and get form it what the set out for, be it a business opportunity, friendship or romance, or just a few hours of entertainment each day, and do so without negatively impacting others.

The dopey kid who ran me over with a dumptruck when I visited my first sandbox, vowed that would never happen again so I was forced to learn quick. Oh, and the first she-avatar who threw me down on a poseball at Sexy Beach. And then the beautiful avatar I fell in love with the next day. Can't forget the guy who hipped me to Xcite, either. Or the other guy who helped me make my first object, and steered me to resources on doing business in SL.
Has it been three weeks already?

From: Daz Honey Today is my birthday, I am two so yea for me and all that. Hippo Birdy! From: someone I wanted to write down a brief list of who has meant a lot to me in the past 2 years (actually add 4 months to that as this avi was not the first) anyway, in order of when I met them. Great list - Wynx an Noramyr rock. For me, it's a long list too, I think. My in-world cousin, Fae, who first showed me that we can be kids in Second Life. My in-world mommy, who took me in and cares for me though thick and thin, and my in-world daddy, who is always there for me. My friend Robin, who continually inspiress me, and teaaches me, and with whom I am always willing to talk. My in-world sister and brother, who are two of the few people I feel I can work around and get honest feedback - and who I have tons of fun with. My in-world cousin, Annie, who made me rez my first prim and apply my first texture. My friend Cricket, who showed me how to turn those prims into Lindens. Thos who've made the best builds in our world (in my opinion), like the lands of Avaria, Nakama, Winterland, Thrill Ville, Walden, and many others. Starax and others who showjust what beauty can be unlocked in a pile of prims. Anyone who has shared a kind word, lent a hand, and shown me the beauty and friendship that's possible in Second Life Mari

Hmm, my influences? Becky, who I've spent most of my (just over) one year here with and at times has been the only thing to keep me coming back. I've learnt more about myself in this past year with her than in the 10 previous. She's my muse, my inspiration, and when she's not around it feels like part of me is missing. And for showing me that sometimes, it's worth taking a chance. The guys at The Forum (no, not this one ) - Jamie, Allana et al, even though I don't get to show my face there as often as I like. I learnt how not to wear a box on my head there, along with much, much else The person who bought my old First Land plot when I moved somewhere bigger, hooking me on the land market ever since.

I had to think about it a little, but I wanted to post on this thread. I can't say I was "influenced" by anyone so much as inspired in one way or another. Here's what I got...some of you "newer-than-06ers" may not have ever heard of these guys... Kage Seraph - I have a fever and the only cure is more oversized robot avs. Seeing the stuff he made showed me that it was possible to make big robots that transform so I started my quest to make my own line. He's also a super nice guy! Cubey Terra - his simple yet quality vehicles did influence a bit of how I approach building Grey Nolder - he's a fellow builder and we bounce ideas off each other and give assistance to each other from time to time. He also turned me on to a couple good shows! Goreans - as crazy and creepy as many of them are you have to admit they run a tight ship. I got much of my RP fix from being a Gorean pirate in Laura for a while. I'm not much into the sex/slave aspect but I dug the swash-buckling! This is the only place I've seen groups act like actual teams with tactics and strategy during RP and especially combat. Just about all other combat is everyone about themselves and a "team" is just a group of people you don't shoot at. Everyone wants to be the star and no one wants to assume a role to complement the team as a whole. That's what I'm about when it comes to combat and RP. Otherwise I've been mostly inspired by the concept of being able to make my own series of items and maybe one day my own world/storyline to be acted out in SL. I dig roleplay and would like to be able to create a world that is as deep and as popular as Gor without the slave stuff. I'm also inspired by the fact that I can have my own corporation, empire, cult, or social group with little more than determination and nothing happening in RL for me to get in the way

The Fates: Changling, Damien and Khamon The Godels: Jarod and Kex The teachers: Lumiere Noire, Robin Sojourner, and Hank Ramos (formerly of the SL "U" Xylor Baskerlief (sp?) The Lindens: Char, Torley, Cory, Blue, ... Far far too many others. I've been influenced so much, I dunno who I am anymore.

Daz, thank you for giving us a gift on your rez day! What a lovely idea.
I have had many people who have inspired me:
Isblan Neva, Desmond Chang, Selaras Partridge, matika Wombat, Sngac Carter, Wynx Whiplash, the creator of the particle lab Jopsy, and Robbie Dingo whose SL video "A Better Life" makes me cry every time I see it. To these artists, I say thank you.
The person who influenced me the most though was someone who built the most awful ugly sex club with animation balls all set to shout next to my First Land Japanese Garden!
His build was ugly, his attitude was ugly and his customers short changed. (It seems the animations weren't that good so things kept going wrong lol).
I have committed myself since then to creating beauty by buying land and making it into public gardens, buying from great builders so that when people visit my places, they can be inspired and by learning to teach so I can pass on what I learn.
I'm grateful every day in SL for him being exactly what he was so I could be exactly who I am and to fight for it.

Aww, happy rezabirfday! It seems like yesterday you were dressed as a chimp with a very large shlong, trying your skills at building. I'm totally honored to be in your list! You've influenced me too for 20 years! People in SL who influenced/helped me: Abramelin Wolfe: this man can do anything. Script, build, texture, animate. I owe him more than I could ever pay back. And he's a good neighbor too!!! Kage Seraph: Genius, nice guy, animation for avatars SUPAHSTAR! Noramyr Gullwing: Friends for 10 years, she's been here with me since day 3. Always someone who understands me, finds the best music and always has just the right dance for the occasion. I doubt I would have stuck around long without her. She's the social one of us. Psyra Extraordinaire: I saw him in one of his avatars in my early SL days and I was blown away! Too stunned to even talk to him. Thankfully, Noramyr introduced us. Nephilaine Protagonist: kept me stylish after I realized I stunk at making clothing. Many stipends thrown her way in the beginning! Kim Anubis: another one of those folks who believed in me in the early days! *huggahs* Forseti Svarog: taught me so much about SL (even though I've been here a little longer than him), an excellent security squirrel, and helped me quit smoking IRL. Paca Hannibal: reminds me to have fun once in a while. Doesn't mind if I use push weapons on him. ...and those are just a few people from my first 6 months in SL! There's been dozens since. And I know I forgot more than a few important folks up there, but we'd be here all day if I decided not to be terse.

Happy Rezday Let's see ... All my friends. They know who they are. The Heart Girls for their beautiful creations, I only wish I could draw like that. Never ever will. For sheer business entrepreneur spirit Dahlia Vezina the rental queen ... even tho it means I never get to see her. All those who bring us live performance, music and art ... Everyone I met who went the extra mile when something went wrong The griefers of Archan. You made my trigger finger itch, but never fire. You make my reaction to griefers now be vaguely amused boredom. This is a good thing. The asshat (account deleted long ago, Philth ...um ... Malaprop) who moved in next door on my first proper land, told me he could watch me getting changed even with the privacy windows on, harassed me when I moved away from him and hassled me to sleep with him ... the called me a **** when I wasn't interested. Thank you. No doubt he still exists in SL but he taught me to be wary and keep myself to myself on a personal basis. I spent a year pretty much alone as a result of that obsessive stalker. Nothing like suddenly finding yourself at the heart of someone else's hangups ... and I learned very fast from that never to accept anything from anyone if it made me feel uncomfortable. And I guess him also for making me worldly too much too soon to enjoy my early times. PixelProphet for being himself and since he came along for sharing everything I should have done during that year and being there now. Happy RL birthday baby.
