I tried to rez an object to got an attempted to rez failed. It never re-appeared. I checked about land and notice there was 12 prims "Selected / Sat Upon" which I am assuming it is that object. How long does it take for that to come back to my inventory? I cleared cache and all that good stuff :).

Try going to 0,0 of the sim you rezzed it in and look there. Often when objects fail to rez they wind up there for some reason. The landowner at 0,0 in my home sim had to turn on autoreturn on her parcel to get rid of all the objects that wound up on her land.

I had 150 prims in one of my neighbor's land before, so I'll ask him. Thanks.

"Selected/sat upon" half the time doesn't make any sense.

Well, its wasted prims. I guess the land owner will return it eventually.

It doesn't, because there's a server side bug that keeps that data persistent for some reason, even when nothing is actually selected/sat upon. The only way to clear it is to request a region restart.

Also odd is that they changed the way things add up (at least I think it didn't used to be like this).

Total prims used = owned by parcel owner + set to group + owned by others + selected/sat upon
