Well, I've been trying, on and off, for a while to determine how I demonstrate to LL that I am a qualified educator, so as to benefit from the sim price discount of the same name. Email has been fruitless, so I've lately taken to calling the Lab to get an answer.
As I'm not certain of the turnaround time involved in getting an answer, I am quite curious as to whether anyone else here has that status, and if so, what bureacratic hoops did you have to jump through to get it.
I await any reply with thankful anticipation.

It looks like you go ahead and order the island, and enter "educator" in the coupon field. from what I can tell, they then follow up with you to verify your status.
