Im sorry..i REALLY dont mean to complain..but the past couple of days, I've experienced the WORST game play on SL in a VERY long time! I know Linden Labs is probably doing their best..but i get so DAMN frustrated..I can't finish my work, I cant TP anywhere..i CANT rezz..I cant do a damn thing..and what makes me so mad is im paying MONEY for this..PLEASE..cant you get some things RIGHT for once!!!! Honestly..I ran a server for a game for awhile..and YEA>.altho a pain in the arse..it only took a little bit of time to fix things..work, yes..but hey, customers are HAPPY..smiling.yippy...sigh..god..i know,im one of the gazillion ppl who bitch..and now i feel guilty..*hides head in hands*, but...gosh wally...hire some good techs or something..for CHRISTS sake!

From: Yummy Freelunch I ran a server for a game for awhile.. um yea i dont think your quake server quite matches up to a 2000+ machine grid of intercommunicating nodes, & databases, streaming everything to thousands of clients in realtime ive been on dialup, DIALUP! for the last week and ive had no out of the ordinary issues with SL... im not totally disagreing with you tho these folks have been monkeying with this since 1999 seems like they would start making improvements to playablility just out of sheer statistical dumb luck, but considering the mess that they have, along with their careing cutting edge staff, its truley amazing the damn thing even works at all |

Amen *grins* That makes a none believer as me blink.....  And his "i REALLY dont mean to complain". As far I can see he was only complaining. And yes, his Quake/Ultima Online/Lineage private server is hardly compareable with the server-park of SL. And overal, I don't have too much problems at the moments. Just some small things that are at worst a bit annoying. Morwen. |

I understand your frustration. It has been pretty bad for me also lately. Today I was trying desperately and most likely in vain to get this sit script correct. It was driving me insane sending me to "the dark place" every time I sat on the object with the script. Finally, it put me in "the dark place", made my avatar all crazy looking, and lagged me until I couldn't take it anymore. I threw an internet temper tantrum and began pounding all of the keys on the keyboard in a mad frenzy trying to make my viewer crash. It eventually did, but so did the entire sim. I don't know if the two actions were related; but when I got back, my friend gave me 2 scripts for determining the sit position easily and the lag was gone. Ahh, and then I went out drinking for Saint Patrick's Day, wooohooo!

I haven't had any degradation in SL play lately, so what you're experiencing may, just possibly, be a change on your end rather than on the side that LL can control. Have you loaded any new software to your computer? Changed any security settings? Changed providers? Changed your preferences? Make sure you rule out all the possibilities of things you can control before shaking your fist at the heavens (or at least a virtual representation thereof). |

See me after class. -The term in the first line is "Overuse", not "Over use" -The plural form of "Ellipsis" is "Ellipses" -"CAPS" is not the word you are seeking.. but "capitalization" -Statement should read "Use of capitalization to improperly indicate emphasis" -Sentences can be Run-on in nature, but they cannot be "Giant". Perhaps you're thinking of "Gigantic?" -Excessive use of punctuation? -Ignoring your misuse of the term rambling as a noun... let us focus instead on your use of the word "unintelligible". If the text is, in fact, unintelligible - you would not be able to discern that it contained complaining. Perhaps a less unilateral term should be used, like "confusing". I am concerned about your grading scheme; if the loss of 8 points can result in a failing grade.

Can we flog the SL residents who use "loose" instead of "lose"? (Only with their permission, of course.) So after spelling grammar correctly the first time, Beebo misspells it the second time he uses it! O.O And then he makes the fundamental grammatical error of using a plural verb with a singular subject! (The subject of his last sentence is "use," NOT the prepositional phrase "of grammer [sic!] and syntax," because a prepositional phrase can never be a subject unless enclosed in quotes or otherwise made into a reference noun, and so the verb should be "makes"  O.O.O! Twenty lashes to Beebo! Unles, of coarse, he lurns to spel and rite gud like Me ZOMGWTFLOL... |
