Strange Prim Count Behaviour

OK, I am a bimbo. Bought the lot adjacent to me for the specific purpose of acquiring additional prims, since I was running low, which is amazing since I already had two 512 lots and not much furniture yet.

Well, duh, the lot right next door is in another "Region" so can't use its prims. Bummer! Took me awhile to figure that out since there's nothing in the Knowledge Base on this.

So I requested a rollback (not granted) but the rollback request screen warned that anything bought in that timeframe could disappear if not returned to inventory. So I dutifully returned all the new furniture items to inventory this morning.

Came back this evening, after my rollback request was refused, and started putting the exact same items back. Grrr, I got to the last one and-- No! out of prims! How can that be? Nothing changed in between returning to inventory and putting them back where they were.

Is there a way I can get a list of objects deployed on my land and a prim count for each? I just know I'm gonna find a discrepancy there.

Thanks

Right click your land, select About Land

On the 'Objects' tab you have the breakdown of objects, who owns them, how many. If you're putting the exact objects that you earlier had out without difficulty, the information on that screen will tell you if somebody else has dumped prims on your land.. they could be up high.. it's pretty safe to just use the 'Return' button on the 'Owned by others" line.. as long as you're sure that all the objects on the land were put out by you and owned by you.

As for the rollback, it wasn't necessary in the first place - its function is to roll an entire region back to a prior saved state, and its use is reserved for private island owners only, not for mainland parcels.

Hope this helps some..
