Is there a "clearinghouse" in SL or outside of SL where you can find "all things created by Lindens?"
For example. I stumbled across a really nice fire-set-up complete with logs, fire, fire grate and crackling sounds. It was made by a Linden and "Free to Copy." I've read in the forum about an "open source" boat script created by Cory Linden. But I have no idea where to find it. So the little conspiracy theorist inside my brain wonders, "where does everyone get this stuff, and why don't i know about it?"  Just curious, thank you. |

As your question concerns content created and distributed by the Lindens it's probably best to post in the Linden Answers forum as opposed to the Resident Answers forum.

Only slightly related, but what's the story behind Linden bears? I only ever managed to nag one (Harmony's) and it's not really all that cuddly

I would try an Infohub. I'm not in-world much anymore, so I can't check it. But most of the Linden content was distributed at the Telehubs before they were eliminated in favor of Point-to-Point teleport. The Infohubs have replaced some of the information aspects of Telehubs, so the content might still be there.

There is some free linden content at the Waterhead welcome area.
 Waterhead secondlife://Waterhead/19/59/26 The LSL Guide, a file stored on every SL user's hard drive and reachable by clicking Help LSL Guide has very basic samples of scripts for vehicle types sled, car, boat, airplane, and balloon. I believe libsecondlife application programmers have the means to enable each of us to create a database of every item in our own inventory, which could be searched by creator, one use of which could be to find things created by Lindens. This is not to say they have created such a program yet. I think people would like to have that ability; I know I would. Torley is my first pick on who to ask to find Linden created content. _____________________

I've been to Waterhead. and Ahern. and Stillman. And Yadni's and the Freebie Warehouse, and a 1001 other places looking. There are some BEAUTIFUL and CLEVER builds from before my time that were made by the Lindens. Sometimes I want to reuse them, sometimes, I just want to see how they were done. Is there a "clearinghouse" in SL for "all things Linden?" I'd really like to know, 'cause I sure can't find it.  |

I have discovered there is no such place. Believe it or not sometimes jus tasking the lindens if you know the item exsist will get you th eitem...but um...that's not high on thier priority list. I know besides the bears I have seen things like an old shack (inspiration for the one in Midnight City from my understanding.) That would look great in the hobo place and a few other nick nacks might be things the lindens built during thier "quiet or first days". Sad we won't know if Kenny made any nick nacks. I never even got the bear.
 Also I know torley has a few altered nick nacks as I saw her before tinkering a ROAM in anche's "mature sandbox" one day. Oh and it wans't a jet back more like a booster rocket.PS: I would love to see a linden repository of goods. I do think it is a great idea as it shows the skills of each linden that might be hiding outside thier normal specialty. Also it would just be plain good giggles. _____________________
