Seems there's a new 800 pound gorilla of a program out there that from what I read, copies just about anything. A LOT of content sellers are losing their minds and LL's response seems to be a big shrug of their shoulders.
I think there might be a real solution though.
As we all know by now, LL catering and pandering to corporations. The deep pockets. They're the ones LL is really hanging on now, not the little people.
So my suggestion is for EVERYONE who wants to get this stopped, go download or buy Copybot or whatever it's called, go to the corporate sims, Nissan and all the others, and copy every goddamn thing there. And flaunt it. Go to American Apparel and make a million copies of their entire line. Copy every Nissan car and whatever gear they sell. Find the guys who run the islands and have every AV on the island copy the managers av, imitate every move he/she makes.
Let's see how fast LL can implement a fix for this when they get pissed off calls from their oh-so-important corporate sponsors and clients.

Two, I think those big corp names you mention would be thrilled, not pissed. That's some pretty good market penetration for their brand name, and I doubt that they would be at all upset about lost sales when they could write it off as very very cheap advertising and cover the SL grid in practically no time with proudly displayed examples of their products. |
