So I'm kind of new and was having a issue the other night. I ment to make a nightclub female and ended up making a male. I was told that it doesn't mater becuase I can change to female in game. When I went to buy a skin and model I looked nothing like the demo. Would anyone know why?

its possible you only bought the shape and no skin read it carefully to check what you bought. A lot of new people buy shapes thinking it includes the skin part but often skin is sold seperately to shape. The other possibility is you bought the skin but not the shape used. Yes this is confusing but to look exactly like the picture you need both skin and shape. Sounds like you bought only a skin or only a shape .

Do you have the 'Female' button selected in Appearance? It makes a difference.

Well if you want to look liek a Vendor theres a few variables.
The Skin you buy you have to "wear it"
The Shape you Buy you have to "Wear it"
You have to look at yourself in different availble light becuase the Vendor picture most likely was taken in good light.
You still might not look like the Vendor's Picture - Becuase some Sellers dont understand their sale texture's aspect ratio has to match the dimensions of the sign they put it on.
If you look liek a Stretched out or squashed version of the Vendor picture - then thats what happened.
If you cant get yourself to look like a seller's promisses then you should contact the seller.
------------------- a side note-
My most common question (far less than 1% of my customers) is from customers who dont understand the difference between Shape and Skin.
Basically Shape is you Avatar's facial features (eye size/tilt/mouth size/nose size, etc) and body figure (height/wieght) - While the Skin is the actual body covering.
