weird red and blue things coming out of avatars

My friend is seeing weird red and blue shapes coming from avatars.. starting at the feet and radiating up to the head. I don't have any idea what they are...says she has seen them since the latest viewer release. She cleared cache and still sees it (also has the latest drivers). I am wondering if it is some sort of beacon or something? I see nothing out of the ordinary. She has an alt.. sees the same on that account. Here are a couple of pics for examples:

Show Updates is on. Good to find people or objects that could be causing lag.

Hit Ctrl-Alt-Shift-U to disable it

Looks like she has "see transparent" enabled. It's in the viewer menu of the client. Just unclick it.

Yes.. it was "show updates"

I’m guessing it’s a beacon. But mine have not worked since the last update…humm.
It’s under View>Beacons and uncheck…errr I’m doing this from memory..scripted.
Or just click them on and off till it disappears
