You post where you like, you don't need to apologize to anyone about anything in here.

I'm not sure what the issue is there, it's a bit vague isn't it. I did have trouble buying Lindens earlier so maybe the systems were having a bit of a wobbly.

maybe it is a problem with your credit card being denied?

I have heard that lots of banks have been denying charges from Linden Lab.

I find that interesting. Please be more specific about your sources. My livelihood depends on such charges and have never had any problems with the 5 different credit cards I use to buy l$.

If you're using PayPal, make sure to check the (I don't use PayPal so I'll get the terms wrong, sorry) agreement and more specifically amount that LL is allowed to withdraw from your account.

By default it's not high enough to cover the cost of a sim purchase, or that was the problem a few people had anyway :).

Island billing is separate from mainland tier billing. If you're paying $195/month for 1 sim worth of mainland, it won't count towards your private sim at $295/month.

If you're not sure how that all works, please do read the knowledge base or ask questions here before your purchase so you don't run into any unforseen situations :).

I had the same issue(s) two weeks ago.
You don't say if you were buying from scratch or turning a reservation into a purchase. If you were turning a reservation into a purchase then contact the concierge. They will do it manually for you. Apparently, this is what I was told by them, there is a known issue that crops up now and again on turning reservations into purchases.
If it was a new purchase then it is most likely a card verification issue. I assume it is a charge to your card? You need to ring your bank and ask them to allow the transaction and also to 'flag' the card for future charges to Second Life. Then, you need to wait for 1 hour or so and re-verify your card details through your account page. You should maybe do this anyway to be on the safe side.
How do I know all this? I had both scenarios happen to me :)

My sources: In-game friends have told me about this problem, and also I have seen a lot of people posting on the forums about it.

Also:I have never had a charge denied but, my credit card company will call me the instant I put a charge on the card from Linden Lab. Literally, the phone will ring within 5 minutes after I click. Then I have to verbally verify that I did authorize the charge. I asked the person on the phone why they did this and they said the company is flagged that they have to verify all charges from LL to prevent fraud. This has happened several times.

Yes - I just read of another claim but am not sure as to why a bank would block a payment to a bank in Canada.
