Does this mean what I think it means? (Spammers begone)

From release notes for the latest viewer:

** Auto-accept inventory and auto-preview texture/notecard/landmark are now separate preferences.

So if we turn off auto-accept, nobody will be able to spam us with landmarks and notecards anymore? Abusive texture spamming also becomes a thing of the past presumably?

This is great news. :)

/haven't used a beta viewer for a few weeks so this really is news to me.

Im not sure it means that you can block it completely. I suspect it is a option to have the accept pop up on or off. If its on the pop ups remain the same. If its off you accept them without a popup.

I may be wrong but its how it reads to me.

It would surely be nice to completely turn off all the inventory spam. The magic number in SL seems to be 10,000; magic because you'll magically lose valuable items when you accumulate more than 10,000 inventory items. I'm currently at 9,000 and would really like to stop others from adding to the heap.
