How can I fly 'magically', in a no-fly area?

I regularly visit a medieval/magical sim, which is a no-fly area..

I know flying's allowed there, but it has to be done 'magically'.. with spells, or whatever. They don't like avatars just randomly floating around ;)

I did buy myself a broomstick, which I can fly on. But I don't like it at all.. it's too fast, and I crash alot! lol

I'd like something that would let me fly at normal speed, etc.. but 'magically'. Am I even making any sense? :p
I also need it to be simple to use, because I'm not very technical!!

Thank ya in advance :)

If you have build permissions there are some objects that will "lift" you using prims.

Or you could build a prim and make it high up and jump off - No fly only affects your ability to gain altitude.

Also if there is push permissions you can use an object that pushed you in the air.

Lastly if theres no set landing point -you can tp into the area using a high Z value, and then you can lose altitude all you want "flying"

The one I go to quite alot, is Halliwell Magical Community.

To be honest, I haven't really visited many others, but I keep meaning to!

Very simple. Swish and flick - "Wingardium Leviosa!" And up you go.

Open the Debug menus (Ctrl - Alt - D on the PC)
Enable "View Admin Options" (Ctrl - Alt - V on the PC)

Fly as normal.

Didn't know about that debug option. I've just been using a flight feather for the past year. ;)

Please note that using the View Admin Options to allow you to fly in some Roleplay Sims will get you banned from that sim.

Several Fantasy Sims have rules regarding Flying and have specific groups for those people allowed to fly due to their race (fairies, pixies, dragons) or magical ability.

Well, I suppose sprouting a glowing set of wings would qualify as "magical flight".

Beyond that, consider carrying a staff or wand that has some sort of particle effects. Then you are "flying by its magic", I suppose.

The best answers, however, you won't find here in the forums. You'll find them by interacting with the roleplayers in that sim! Surely they have "magic shops" and other merchants who sell "authorized modes of flight".

Sim developers turn of flying for reasons and it is rather uncharitable for someone to decide that they don't wish to use the sim the way the designer intended. Numbakulla is a great example, there are places in the sim that you are not supposed to be able to reach without completing the puzzles. When you are guest on someone else's sim it would be polite to respect their wishes when it comes to flight and any other rules they may have stated.

As others have said, I don't want to 'cheat' by flying in the normal way. They don't like it.. it's a 'magical' sim, and I respect their rules :)

I have got myself a flying carpet, but it looks a bit dubious, to say the least! lol
