I've looked everywhere in the FAQs and blogs and all... Just need a quick answer on where to go so that I can upload songs and feed them into my land. Any free music hosting sites out there??

Muisc takes up huge bandwidth. I know of no free servers for that purpose. You can Contract services with Raster Teazle and use one of his Server Jukeboxes or PodCast machines to stream your own music to your land. Raster is partnered with Daddyo Fish who owns XLTRAX Radio and they have successfully developed a nice music hosting service.

Easiest way if you have a very good connection is to use something like Sam Broadcaster shoutcast server and run it on your PC. I do this with no problems... SAM isnt free though, however it is a very good program. I even have website based request system on mine.

Servers of this kind will cost you money if you want them, especially if you want them to host all your mp3s too.

I believe there is also an object scripted that will stream songs to your land from your iTunes playlist on your computer. Can't remember the name right off, and can't remember all the particulars..

When you add a streaming url to your parcel, every client that listens, connects directly to your stream. This can cost quite a bit of bandwidth, and in fact, is typically more then a residential internet connect might support. You can purchase the rights to use a streaming service from many ingame players, myself included. I have a set of streaming servers that you can pay a small amount in lindens, and it will provide you with a password protected shoutcast server in a colocated rack space with lots of pipe. Many others in game also offer similar services.

You might be better off browsing a few streaming radio stations, and finding one that meets the programming you like.

Personally, I know of no free services that would allow you to stream to a large group of folks for free.

When voice comes to secondlife, there will be the option then of just playing your music and letting second life deal with getting it to the listeners :)

There is a overview of streaming music in SL here, which you might also find useful.
