I'm assuming you're referring to the types of dances you see people doing at clubs and such? The dances are purchased and get loaded into dance balls and you can click on them and dance with everyone else.

They can be purchased separately for your own use and Sine Wave is the place where you can get the best made ones. They have the greatest variety and quite a lot of sexy styles.

Try somewhere like Sine Wave Island that sells dance animations. To dance the simplest way is to just select the animation in your inventor and choose 'play inworld'.

............ ok I am slow today :D

Hi El! :)

Not nessasarily, they can be just running them out of their own inventories, too. People tend to dance around at HIP a lot.

Not that there's music playing very often. Weird bunch.

True, but those aren't the "sexy" ones. They tend to be the dorky ones that SL provides us :p

I use a dance HUD so that I can dance anywhere. Abranimations and the Animation Warehouse have tons of dances and animations for whatever situation you may be presented with.

Go to SineWave, or Abranimations, or any of the many animator stores out there and buy a dance (not poseball dances...those are different). A lot of these places will have ways for you to test the animation so you know if it is the one you are looking for.
Then you have two choices:
Choice 1: Load the dance into a Chimera, Dance machine, or AO of somekind with any others you want, and you can simply click to start dancing. These are good if you have a selection of dances and you want to use all/most of them.
Choice 2: When you want to start dancing, right click on teh animation in your inventory and choose 'Play In World'. Sometimes if you are wearing a Animation Override you will need to turn it off for this to work. When your legs are tired and you want to stop dancing you can either click 'Stop' on the pop up, or right click and choose 'Stop'.

IMO SineWave have a very good selection of sexy dances, though the area itself I find very slow to rez. There is one called Double Cream that I like. I also have a nice freebie SineWave dance I can send you if you would like to test it before you buy anything, get used to playing with dances etc... I'll drop it on you when I get inworld :)

Sexy dancing is broadly offensive, particularly when performed by offensive broads.

I'll have you know I am neither offensive, nor a broad!

.. wait, that might mean you LIKE it. Never mind.

(not poseball dances...those are different)

Individual dances in a poseball are really no different from the ones that you can run from your inventory or put in a Chimera or Huddles; they're just packaged into a poseball. There was at least one store, Henmations, that was selling all its dances that way (and might still be); if you want them somewhere else you just take them out of the ball. Nearly all individual poseballs in SL, whether for dances, sit poses, or "whatever", have the same scripts inside (which are readily available for free); what you are buying is the animation.

Couple dances in poseballs are another story. Those poseballs usually have fancier scripts that synchronize the two (or more) balls. You don't want to buy those if you're looking for a dance to do by yourself or put in your dance machine.

Strange that I have quite a few Sine Wave sexy dances and I can dance on them from my inventory.........simply click "play in world". Works every time.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I have a long list of SL dance creators I like (Including SLurls to their shops in most cases) in my expanded dance tutorial:

It just dawned on me that Elora meant the dances that could be seen at HIP, specifically, and typically.

Me? Slow on the draw? What were we talking about?
