oroff Lindens don't read the forums

"Just before 2pm our Support staff began hearing from a number Residents about various Secondlife service issues in particular regions. It appears that these issues may have been going on for a few days, but were masked by the network outages we have been working through.

The issue can cause a number of different problems such as: an inability to search or use the map, failure to rez, failures while attaching, L$ balance not being displayed and odd IM behavior. Because there is the possibility of content loss, we encourage you to verify that Search works in the region you are in before attempting to rez any objects."

A few days? Try a few weeks. And they are just now finding out about this? So much for "they know what they are doing".
Maybe if a Linden actually read the forum they would have know about these problems weeks ago, and 1.We wouldn't have been blaming voice, and 2. They could have had all this fixed before voice was introed. And before anyone posts, this is not about voice, but about the lindens being 3 weeks out of date on what is going on in SL. This just proves to me that the Lindens don't actually have a clue what is going on in SL. So basically all the voice complaint/problems went straight to a linden and they jumped right on fixing them, but they didn't know at all about the other problems? What is wrong with this picture?

If I was a Linden I wouldn't read these forums either..except for the parts about Brenda's panties and Figtree's crabs.

Would you want the job of reading through a forum where 60% of it is insulting you and your co-workers, 83% of it is redundant and only about 12% of it could give you any valuable information?

As much as I don't like how untouchable the Lindens have become I can't say I blame them or wouldn't do the same in their situation.

It's not like it's making less people sign up and give them money anyway!

I'm a mod on another forum, so.....
I mean they could at least have the mods here; are there mods here, inform them of problems, sort of filter the crap for them. But at least they would have known about these issues long before now.

Hey, the TAO says they don't have to.........

If they took the 12% and did something with it they could probably eliminate 40% of the insults and maybe 50% of the redundancy
