Group money

Why, if Im the group owner, can I not put that money elsewhere? If the group wants to put the money in a bank we can't? If I want to buy an object with the money I can'? What good is it then? Have I just lost the $5,000L because its in the group?
The main issue is that I'm the only one in the group! If I disband the group where does the money go?

For one thing I had no idea you could do that (although I tend to overlook things), but for another you should know that groups with only 1 person in them are supposed to get automatically deleted after a few days. If the group goes away, any assets it held return to Linden Lab.

Yes you need at least two to make a group.

None of that really answered the main question, how can I get the money into my own account.

Every night, money that is in the group will be paid out to the members of the group. Anyone that is able to will receive an equal share of the group money.

How did this $5000 go to the group? Was it from a land sale? (If so, the other person is right, over night the funds will be distributed to all group members with credit/liability status.) If it's not from a land sale, I don't know how your group ended up with any L$ in the first place... which is why I asked.

You can pay group objects money and it will go to the group. If you buy a group owned object, the money it will go to the group funds. It is easy to get money into a group, but you have to wait for the nightly script to run to get the money out.

Hello I am quite new in real life and a bit lost. I have got a question let me explain you.
My group bought a land then we sold it and then the money (5500 L$) went into the group account. No problem at this time.
But maybe a few hours after we sold the land we actually close and delete the group (we didn't know that our money should have been transfered to our account during the night !!! shame on us !!!).
So my question is where do you think is our money ? do you think it is lost forever or is there any chance to get the money back ?

It is gone! There is no way to get a group back once everyone leaves it. BUT! I also have good news. If you contact LL you should be able to get your money. I did that once, and it took a few days (week?) but I did get my money back. Just be nice and e-mail support (support@secondlife.com) with the name of the group, what happened to the group and how much money you lost in the group account. I am guessing it may take a while, but you should be OK. Every few days, you may need to give them a gentle reminder, but they will eventually get back to you.
