Ideas for making money for Capture RolePlay

Here is an idea that could possibly make some money for Capture Roleplay.

It could also be a lot of fun.

For a title lets use “Slave Auction” for now.

It would go like this :

We get as many subs as we can and a bunch of Doms and others that might be interested.

The subs all enter the maze, but only a few hunters, the hunters well hunt…bringing back only a few subs at a time.

The captured Subs are brought back to the meeting area maybe in chains and sold at auction over the Roleplay Chat Channel to the assembled crowd.

Capture Roleplay collects and keeps all the money that is paid for the Subs.

The buyer gets the sub for lets say 4 or 5 hours over the next month. When ever both are available on line.

The Sub has no right to refuse the sale, but has the right to buy freedom by paying the dom what he paid.

Sexual preference and species preference would be respected for each slave.

Please post your ideas on this and other money makers.

The more money Capture has the more features we will get and the more fun this will be for everyone.

Out of curiosity, would the subs get a cut of the funds for providing services?

I would think not but it would be up to CARP who would run the thing think of it as a donation of time.

Personally I think that yes, the subs should get some of the money. Why?
1) Incentive to RP well and put effort in.
2) So they can afford to buy some toys/outfits/etc for their auctions.
3) To reaffirm that they as subs/slaves are valuable.

I'd probably say that most of the money should indeed be a donation to CARP (we have an impressive land tier to meet, and anyone can hold an auction with a few friends, but CARP is a huge group and we'd both use CARP land and CARP publicity for the event).

I'd also want to give some indication of a RPers level of experience when they were sold - so people know if a particular sub is experienced or not...

I can't afford to donate much myself, only like... 50 L at a time, but I could definetely offer more by volunteering for this so I'd definetely be up for it!

Those points were more or less exactly the reason why I was asking... I personally refuse to be in a sale where I get nothing out of it besides a (hopefully) good submissive session.... I've had times where I was auctioned off and got to sit around doing nothing.... Only thing that made those times worth it was the cash.. Or you get stuck with someone that doesn't scene very well, forcing you to work even harder to not only maintain interest, but to keep the scene itself going.... Thankfully, that problem I've not encountered at CARP, and I hope I never will -= but that's off topic.

Point #3 is especially important, because you simply won't get subs at an auction where they have to DEDICATE their time and can't simply call things off if they lose interest and aren't being paid for such "sacrifices" of their time... Dedicating time is money... Besides, it creates competition between the doms/hunters who'll fight over the subs/prey if the pre has motivation to play it up while being auctioned simply because they're getting paid to do such. ^_^

If they wanted no cash, they'd just do as usual..... Auctions have to be different than the norm...

EDIT....
To further clarify.... I think it's a great idea, but it should be run along the lines of the various tail sales that used to be a great deal more popular than they are now - aka the one for sale/auction gets 30-50% of the cut, rest becomes a donation to the group that hosted/ran it... The last auction I was in I got a 90% cut of things, but that's because the auction was held just for the hell of it instead of as a fundraiser...

I'm just not fond of the idea of those being put up for sale getting -NOTHING- except an rp out of it...

I just found CARP, as the server went down. I can't wait to get involved, sounds really up my street. And I'd love to participate in an event like this. Congrats to whomever came up with the whole idea.
