CARP Maze Design

The current maze design is...

too generic (needs more objects in it to give it character)
3 (23.1%)

too laggy (we need to cut down on the lag more)
3 (23.1%)

too cluttered with invisible prims in the ceiling (we need to del those)
2 (15.4%)

too hard to navigate (we need to link the maze and dungeon in a more direct way)
1 (7.7%)

just right! :)
4 (30.8%)

something else (post a reply to this topic)

What do you think of the current maze design?

avoid temptation to add "bling"

Keep on with your avoidance of laggy "bling" that slows play.

Still, a few added objects ... a statue of a nymph in flight, a lion rampant, a slave fountain, would add some character and some reference points, if they won't add lag.

Unfortunatly all those suggestions are somewhat high-prim. Statues, while they would fit the hedge maze very well, tend to require a lot of prims to look decent (feel free to prove me wrong though... ;) ). Got any other ideas?

One advantage of the CARP concept is that it seems like it could be played in any number of sims that offer cover, some interesting terrain features, low lag and a friendly landowner. The Gardens of Apollo would be fun, but the management there would probably object. Xcite's 18-only resort area (?Xtasia?) might be a possibility, or another underused "adult" sim that would welcome the extra traffic. Of course, that is off topic of the question of improving the maze.

Well, it could be, but you really WANT a central location to play. It's hard enough to get enough doms to get play going at times, spreading people over several sims would just agrivate that problem.

I wasn't clear ... not saying to spread the play over multiple sims, but to pick one sim on one evening and have a game there ... then, some games at the maze ... then, another week, pick another sim and have a game there. Could provide some variety and new experiences and be good exposure for drawing new players.

And is a shortage of Dom/predators common? I'll have to turn out more often with my butterfly net!
