HOLLYWOOD July 27, 2006 -- Scores begin to roll into the Holly Kai Scorecard Box. Our first subpar round was turned on by LOUIS GOODLIFFE today at 34.
Our third hole in one was recorded by MICHAEL KYUZO. All our holes in one have come at the 5th hole.

HOLLYWOOD July 29, 2006 -- The first Holly Kai Golf Tournament was held on Saturday July 29. See seperate tread for results.
An integrated GOLF BALL RANGE FINDER was released on Saturday as well. In the queue are custom GOLF BAGS and GOLF CLUBS as well as more golf shirts and ladies outfits. On the long term list are men's golf slacks.
Coming in the near future are PRIVATE TOURNAMENTS. If you would like to host a Holly Kai tournament for your group (team building? Challenge?) please contact Flutter Mistral or Salsa Desade.

HOLLYWOOD August 1, 2006 -- Transparant Banshee became the first person to get a hole-in-one on the 9th hole at the Holly Kai Ocean course, and the fourth person overall to get a hole-in-one at Holly Kai.

Golf News -- 8th Green Landscaping

HOLLYWOOD August 7, 2006 -- The 8th green area has been modified to reduce a couple of bad luck spots and increase drop areas for water hazard shots.
Says MarkTwain White "there were a couple of points where seemly good shots could run off the green and into the water. Additionally there was inadequate drop areas near the green."
The land on both sides of the green have been widened and the area around the green has been generally made less unpredicable. Twain points out however that hitting long on the 8th hole is still a bad idea as the land behind the green still slopes away to the water.

Golf News - New Event Posted for Holly Kai

Below is an event which has been posted. If you know of people who might be interested, please point this event out. If you are an experienced golfer and would like to help mentor a new player, come on out!
Come to Holly Kai Golf Club and learn to play GOLF in SL on the lovely 9 hole Holly Kai Golf Course. Don't play in RL? No problem. If you DO play in RL, you will be surprised at the realism and the fun. Step by step instructions are in the Holly Kai Club House. Just come, read the instructions, and play. HKC staff will be on hand to help you with your questions. Driving range and putting green available. Cost? Clubs and balls are free of charge. Green fees are $300 for 3 hours, $225 for 1 1/2 hours, and $100 for 30 minutes. Give it a try - you will NOT regret it.
