Ladies, I beg you to forgive me for contacting you without proper introduction! I am not usually this forward in nature, but I may be able to provide goods that would interest you. I have recently opened a small knit shop in the Amida sim to provide residents with the joys of handknit items as well as the thrill of production. I would be happy to give a brief demonstration if you would be so kind as to IM me. It occured to me that the Ladies of Caledon might enjoy a similar occupation, if the proper tools could be provided. Tools that are exclusive to the shops of Caledon.
Now, the knitting needles of the period are ordinarily of a "blued steel" but ivory, whale bone and even wooden needles are also available, and might be preferred. The work-in-progress (and finished item) would most likely be something of a lace nature, such as a shawl or bed jacket, as is befitting ladies of refinement. A Knitting Circle also would provide the Ladies' Society with an excellent opportunity to socialize on a regular basis.
I am interested in producing a set of scripted knitting needles and a "finished project" that are specific to Caledon. I would only require a small amount of space in order to make these avilable to the community. I am pleased to rent or develop some sort of consignment arrangement with a shop. Ladies, would this be an venture or an activity that you would care to persue?
With fondest regards, Mrs. Theodore Polonsky (Ida Keen) Knit This, Proprietess

That is such a lovely idea. Rest assured that I would liketo take look of these knitting needles. They sound perfect for my shop. Once I'm finished with some of my shop duties I would surely try and contact you to see the items in action.

From: Ida Keen I am looking forward to meeting you and discussing arrangements. Thank you so much for your interest. Ms. Keen~ Perhaps we could convince you to come and give a demonstration at our next Ladies’ tea? If you would consider it, I would be more than honored if you would allow me to contact you to set up an invitation. Respectfully~ Miss Serra

I jsut wanted to congratulate the Ladies Society on a Most Successful event last night! I enjoyed myself tremendously, and am looking forward to more activities with such a delightful group.
In all of the excitement, I forgot to mention that I intend to donate 30% of the sales of the new Lace Knitting products to the Caledon Relay for Life Kiosk. The new bags, needle sets (some with flowered tips) and other notions can be found in Knit This, Amida (88,140,27). They are located in the kiosk with an enormous sign that reads "new."
Now here is the tragic part! I set everything up in the shop last night (staying up WAY past my bedtime) only to wake up to have it all returned to my inventory - including the floor! I had used the wrong group title *cries bitter tears*. I hope to have every thing back to ship shape before luncheon! I have learned a valuable lesson about the "autoreturn" feature as well as about NAMING my objects!
Tragically, Ida Keen
