Hello Ladies~
I propose that the first Saturday of each month be set aside for the ladies to meet and socialize. I don’t have a time in mind, but being aware that we are all in different time zones, perhaps evenings would be the best?
I envision the location of the “tea” to be rotating. So that we may all view each others homes, gaining ideas and inspiration from each other. I am willing to help organize the particulars of location and entertainment for each lady hosting the month’s event.
I am looking for the first location to host the event, I would offer up my own home if I had one... it is still under development. If you are interested in having the "tea" at your home, please contact me via inworld IM, forum PM, or email.
Respectfully,
Miss Serra Anansi Rose, Port Caledon serra dot anansi at gmail dot com (Spelled out to thwart address collecting forum spam bots)

I'd be happy to...

Host one at my home on the highlands. Depending on the crowd we could sit inside or up on the roof. I don't think I can swing doing July's however, due to FL commitments.

Excellent idea! I look forward to the next tea. As for timezones, I am 9 hours ahead from SL time, so SL evenings would be rather impractical. (I really enjoy SL, but not enough to get up at 5am! ) On the other hand it is pretty impossible to find one time that suits all, and I do not know how many ladies are in european timezones, probably quite the minority.

Oh dear! I had forgotten about the non US ladies, please forgive me!? I here by amend my proposal to include bimonthly tea events.
First Saturday of each month at say… 8pm SL time?
and
Third Saturday of each month at say… 12pm SL time?
When I first posted my idea, I was actually concerned that once a month was too long to wait in between events. So I guess this takes care of my desire to have more regular events AND make sure that the entire group is involved if they want to be.
Ms Ennui, thank you for reminding me that I was forgetting a segment of the group.
Keep the ideas coming and best wishes all! Miss Serra

Miss Serra,
I'd love to attend, and will cross my fingers that RL doesn't trample on my calendar.
Please let me know if there is any way I can assist.
Sincerely,

This is a capital idea and I would be happy to host it sometime in late August.
For the non-initiate, please, what is SL time in GMT/Zulu time?

GMT/Zulu time -7 hours = SL time. (Also known as Pacific Daylight Time, for part of the year at least.)
