Hi All,

The new version of Second Life (being deployed tomorrow) will have a number of changes. One of those changes will be in the tax structure.

Up until now we have had a -1000 limit on taxes owed. The purpose of this limit was to keep people from getting so far into debt that they would be unable to build again for a long time. Not fun for you, not fun for us.

We are removing the limit now as our records show that most of you have figured out how to balance your Second Life budget, and that very few of you are actaully reaching that limit.

This means that you will all have the opportunity to get into a great deal of debt unless you keep an eye on your SLwallet.

Please plan accordingly, we'd hate to see most of you eating SL Ramen for the next two weeks.

Have fun,

-Peter

Hi Everyone,

As any frequenter of the forums knows, any change to the economy instantly becomes a cause for concern as it will effect every residents Second Wallet.

After comments from so many of you, we are going to postpone the removal of the -1000 limit on taxes.

There are a few threads on the forums where you can voice your opinion on the matter. We are watching, reading, examining, monitoring, debating, testing and eventually deciding based on our observations and your opinions.

Much thanks for you feedback, we'll keep everyone posted.
