Welcome back to Second Life. Version 1.2 is now open.
Current residents will find that they have a great deal more currency in their accounts. This money is to compensate them for land and objects which will no longer have a release value now that the economy has changed.
You'll also see that your land is marked 'sale pending'. You must decide how much land you want to keep before January 12. When you decide, please go to Land Use Fees in the Account Summary area (Your Account) of the www.secondlife.com website to confirm the purchase. Please remember that if you claim land in excess of your allocation, you will be charged monthly land use fees. The amount will be detailed on your account summary.
Similarly, you should decide by January 12 which objects you want to keep on your land to stay within your object limits. You can see what your object allocation is on a simulator by looking under Objects in the About Land box (right click on your land and choose About Land from the pie menu). Remember that if you buy more land in that simulator your object allocation will increase.
The first previews for new land auctions will be open for viewing today east and west of Chartreuse.
