Several months ago we posted a link to a survey for people who are wheelchair bound and are using Second Life. Several Second Life residents participated, and the researcher, Aleks Krotoski, has asked me to post a link to a follow-up survey.

"It is the second part of my research into the experiences of people in wheelchairs who play Massively Multiplayers. I have completed the initial interviews, and the results have informed the development of this questionnaire, which explores whether there is a relationship between the offline self and the in-game experiences. Particularly, I am interested in the players’ self-efficacy. There are sections on the player, the characters he or she plays and the players’ belief in his or her capability of attaining goals, both on and offline. All responses are anonymous, and the participant has the right to withdraw his or her answers at any point in the study. Completing the survey should take no more than 20 minutes."

The survey, and more information about Aleks, can be found at:

As with other academic surveys posted here, none of your individual responses are shared with Linden Lab.
